Matt Murray made 37 saves for the Penguins, while Pekka Rinne was pulled after Malkin’s goal and finished with 21 stops. Juuse Saros turned aside both of the shots he faced in relief.  Pontus Akberg notched Nashville’s only goal to open the scoring.
