Dan Vlader stopped 42 shots for his second shutout of the postseason and Cam York was the overtime hero, scoring the series-winning goal at 17:32 of thefourth period, as the Philadelphia Flyers eliminated the Pittsburgh Penguins with a 1-0 victory in Game 6 at Xfinity Mobile Arena. It was Philadelphia’s first playoff series win since 2020.
Brett Howden ended Game 5 with a short-handed goal at 5:28 of the second overtime period for the Vegas Golden Knights, who nudged the Utah Mammoth to the brink of elimination with a 5-4 victory at T-Mobile Arena. Pavel Dorofeyev notched his first career postseason hat trick, scoring his third goal f the night with 53 seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime.
