The visiting Edmonton Oilers jumped out to a big lead before holding on for a 3-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks in Game 7 at Rogers Arena. Edmonton advances to the Western Conference Final where they face the Dallas Stars.
Codi Ceci, Zach Hyman, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored the goals for the Oilers. Defenseman Evan Bouchard had two assists and Leon Draisaitl extended his postseason point streak to 12 games with the secondary helper on Nugent-Hopkins power-play goal with 4:38 left in the second period, which put Edmonton up 3-0. First Star Nugent-Hopkins also added an assist and Stuart Skinner finished with 15 saves.
The Canucks got third period goals from Conor Garland and Filip Hronek, but could not come with the equalizer over the final 4:36 of regulation. Rookie goaltender Arturs Silovs made 26 stops.
