Florida Panthers prospect Linus Eriksson took part in Sweden’s exciting 4-3 comeback victory over USA White at the World Junior Summer Showcase in Minneapolis on Monday.

Eriksson centered Sweden’s second line with Eddie Genborg (Detroit) and Melvin Fernstrom (Vancouver) on his wings. The trio did not figure in the scoring.

Defenseman Felix Ohrqvist lit the lamp with nine seconds remaining in regulation to give the Swedes the win.

In the early game, Finland edged USA Blue by a 3-2 count.

Canada White will face Canada Red in the showcase’s only action today at 5:30 p.m.

Restricted free agent defenseman Jayden Struble signed a two-year, $2.825 million contract with the Montreal Canadiens on Monday, avoiding a salary arbitration hearing. Struble had two goals and 13 points in 56 games with Montreal last season, averaging 14:57 of ice time. He also appeared in two Stanley Cup Playoff games in Montreal first-round loss to Washington.
