The NHL Draft Lottery will take place tonight, and for the first time in a long time, it will be of the utmost interest to the Florida Panthers and its fans. Florida currently holds the eighth overall pick in first round of the 2026 Draft, however, they can move up to first (6% chance) or second (6.2%) chance overall by winning one of the two lotteries or they can possibly drop to ninth or ten overall if one or two of the teams behind them in the draft order wins. The lottery balls will be drawn at NHL Network’s studio in Secaucus, New Jersey, at 7 p.m. ET (ESPN, SN, TVAS).

Monday night in the Stanley Cup Playoffs

Taylor Hall scored off a goal-mouth scramble 18:54 into overtime to lift the Carolina Hurricanes to a 3-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 2 at Lenovo Center on Monday. Goals from Nikolaj Ehlers, who also had an assist, and Seth Jarvis tied the game after the Flyers opened up an early lead. Carolina fell behind after giving up goals 39 seconds apart in the first period to Jamie Drysdale and Sean Couturier. Jackson Blake had two assists, and Frederik Andersen made 34 saves to up his record to 6-0 in the postseason. Dan Vladar stopped 40 shots for Philadelphia.

Ivan Barbashev scored the go-ahead goal with 4:58 remaining in regulation, and the Vegas Golden Knights pulled out a 3-1 win against the Anaheim Ducks at T-Mobile Arena in Sin City. Mitch Marner set up Brett Howden’s game-opening goal early in the second period and clinched it with a late empty-netter. Mikael Granlund scored the only goal for the Ducks. Carter Hart turned aside 33 shots for Vegas, and Lukas Dostal finished with 19 saves for Anaheim.
