Tonight’s the night. Will everything be alright? For the Florida Panthers, that is. The Cats, along with the 29 other existing NHL franchises, will find out which player they will lose to the Vegas Golden Knights during the NHL Awards Show, which will take place at T-Mobile Arena.
According to TSN Insider Bob McKenzie, the Panthers might have some sort of deal in place with the Golden Knights now, but instead of steering Vegas away from players like Jonathan Marchessault or Reilly Smith, we might we see both of the talented forwards end up in Sin City (at least temporarily). What the…???
It was suggested to me FLA’s deal with VGK MAY actually be for Vegas to end up acquiring both Marchessault and Rielly Smith (also exposed).

If that’s actually true that means the Panthers better have something else cooking to replace the offense of the two forwards. Can’t wait to see how this shakes out.
As for the awards show and announcement of the expansion draft picks, NBCSN has the television coverage starting at 8 p.m.
Let’s move on to sweaters. Adidas revealed the home sweaters for all 31 teams last night at an event at the Wynn in where else? Las Vegas. Some of the teams also had their road sweaters on display, too.
The Panthers home sweater looks much the same, with the minor tweak being the enlargement of the crest and white center stripe.
