The Florida Panthers (7-3-1) are in Tampere for the first of a pair of games against the Dallas Stars (7-2) at Nokia Arena as the NHL comes to Finland for the 2024 Global Series presented by Fastenal.
Florida enters the game winners of three-straight and are 6-1-1 over their last eight outings. The Panthers stuck to the grind and knocked off the Buffalo Sabres 5-2 on Monday night to sweep a three-game run through the Empire State. Aleksander Barkov returned after an eight-game absence and contributed a goal and an assist, as did Sam Bennett, Carter Verhaeghe and leading scorer Sam Reinhart.
After opening the season with four-straight victories, Dallas is 3-2 over the last five games. They doubled-up the Chicago Blackhawks by a 4-2 count at American Airlines Center before crossing the pond. Veteran Matt Duchene leads the Stars in goals (6) and points (13). Jake Oettinger has post five of Dallas’ seven wins.
