The Florida Panthers (35-32-3) will close a brief homestand when they welcome the Minnesota Wild (40-20-12) to Amerant Bank game in their final game against an opponent from the Western Conference.
Florida blew a late three-goal lead against the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday, but managed to pull out a 5-4 victory when Vinnie Hinostroza scored a beauty on Joey Daccord in the shootout. Nolan Foote scored his first as a Panter and Eetu Luostarinen, Carter Vergaehe and Noah Gregor, who set up Foote’s goal, also lit the lamp. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 22 shots, and was perfect in the skills competition, to collect his 455th career win.
The Wild welcomed back leading scorer Kirill Kaprizov in Tuesday’s 6-3 defeat to the Tampa Bay Lightning at Benchmark International Arena. Mats Zuccarello, Brock Faber and Vladimir Tarasenk scored the goals. Filip Gustavsson took the loss, finishing with 19 saves. Playoff-bound Minnesota is currently in third place in the Central Division.
