A win or overtime loss coupled with a Tampa Bay loss in regulation tonight at Madison Square Garden will give the Panthers the Atlantic Division title…The last time the Cats swept the Habs in a season-series they won the Southeast Division in 2011-12…Aleksander Barkov”s four-point performance in the last meeting between the two teams on Saturday was a career-high. The Panthers’ 700th regular-season victory gave them 99 points, the most in a single season in their history, and extended their Atlantic Division lead to four points on the second-place Tampa Bay Lightning, who lost 5-2 at the New York Islanders. However, John Scott will make his team debut after the unlikely All-Star was recalled from the minors on Sunday. Scott, voted an All-Star starter in a controversial fan campaign while then with Arizona, had been playing for St. John’s of the American Hockey League since being acquired from the Coyotes on Jan. 15.
