The question has been answered: Atlantic Division champion Florida will take on the New York Islanders, who finished the season with the first Wild Card berth in the Eastern Conference Sunday night. This will be the first meeting between the two clubs in the postseason.
Against the Isles in 2015-16, the Panthers were 2-1-0: 3-2 (SO) on November 27, 5-1 on December 15, and 2-3 (it was ugly) on March 14. Overall the Cats are 45-29-8 vs NYI; 24-11-6-0-3 141/125 in SoFla & 21-18-2-2-3 125/119 in the Empire State. None of that matters much now. Onward…
