On Thursday night, the Florida Panthers defeated the Ottawa Senators by a final count of 6-2 in Sunrise, FL.

Vincent Trocheck (20) had three assists and Florida’s final goal of the night for his second career four-point game, also dishing out four hits and winning 61% of his faceoff chances. Jaromir Jagr (22, 23) scored two goals on two shots, and Jonathan Huberdeau (12) and Jussi Jokinen (13) each had a goal and an assist in the winning effort. Roberto Luongo stopped 26 Senators’ shots.

Also earning points for the Panthers were Aaron Ekblad, with his 14th goal of the season, and Reilly Smith, Erik Gudbranson, and Brian Campbell, each with an assist to their credit.

Zach Smith (20) and Erik Karlsson (12) also each had a goal and an assist. Bobby Ryan and Mark Stone earned assists. Craig Anderson allowed six goals on 31 shots for the loss. It was just Florida’s sixth win against the Sens in 20 tries against Anderson.
