Game Four GameDay: Florida Panthers vs Toronto Maple Leafs

Graphic Design: Francisco Oporta (Filter by TL)

Brad Marchand’s goal 15:27 into overtime gave the Florida Panthers a colossal Game 3 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs at Amerant Bank Arena on Friday night. The Panthers overcame a pair of two-goal deficits to take a 4-3 lead after forty minutes, thanks to second period goals from Sam Reinhart, Carter Verhaeghe and Jonah Gadjovich. A bad break caused by Morgan Rielly’s routine shot sent the game to a fourth period after Sergei Bobrovsky blockered it off the knee of Seth Jones. Late in the fourth, Verhagehe and Dmitry Kulikov worked the puck up right board to noted Leaf-killer Marchand, and he cut across the offensive zone before letting fly from the top of the left circle. His shot tumbled over Joseph Woll after striking Rielly to give the desperate Cats their first win of the series. Florida will need to keep up the high level of intensity they displayed for the majority of Game 3 to knot the series before the teams head back to Toronto.
