Florida Panthers Friday Practice Update

Nick Boynton has been sent home for ‘disciplinary reasons’ and will miss the final 3 games of the Cats road trip.  Apparently there have been whispers that Boynton might be waived by Jacques Martin, but now with the trade deadline looming, we may have seen Boynton play his last game as a Panther.
I don’t see why we are getting rid of him…from what I’ve seen he has been solid all year and ads a feisty-ness to our back line.  Are we really better off with Noah Welch?  I think not, so I have to assume Boynton will either be traded, or that nothing will go down.  I hope we get more information on this situation as we get closer to game time tomorrow.
Injured winger Corey Stillman is doubtful for the Jersey game.  He was still having trouble with his ankle that J-Bo nailed in practice on Thursday.  I didn’t mind seeing Kreps up on the first line with Weiss and Frolik, but not McLean.  No No No.
Tomas Vokoun didn’t practice today, still suffering from his inner-ear infection.  This means we’ll likely be seeing Andy in net against the Devils…and if Voky isn’t 100%, I think id rather throw Anderson back out on Sunday in DC.  I think that a sick Vokoun against the Ovechkin crew is a bad idea, especially knowing how Ovie seems to own our starting goalie, at least this season.
