Game 1 Caterwaul: Florida Panthers at Vegas Golden Knights

The Florida Panthers will take on the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 1 of the 2023 Stanley Cup Final tonight at T-Mobile Arena. The wild (card) Cats dispatched division rivals Boston and Toronto before sweeping aside the Carolina Hurricanes to take the Prince of Wales Trophy. Vegas vanquished Winnipeg, Edmonton and Dallas to capture its second Clarence S. Campbell Bowl in just six seasons of existence. Florida’s previous crack at Lord Stanley’s mug ended in a sweep at the hands of the Colorado Avalanche in 1996. The 2018 Final saw the upstart Golden Knights fall in five games to the Washington Capitals. Florida has never won in Vegas. Tonight would be a good time to start.
