And it’s a home opener! The slumbering BB&T awakens from its annual summer hibernation with the Cats hosting Pete DeBoer’s Devils, a roster featuring no less than six players over 35 years old (by contrast Florida has four). One of those is named Jagr, who at age 42 already has 2 assists and 7 shots in the single game he’s played. So there’s that.
The Panthers will roll the same lineup utilized in Thursday’s overtime loss in Tampa Bay, which appeared quite formidable when not being handed penalties, legitimately earned or otherwise. Of the six players who have garned a point, four are blueliners; no idea what to read into such a stat so early but it’s somewhat intriguing heading into this evening. Enjoy!
