The Florida Panthers (1-2) limp into Beantown looking to end a two-game skid when they face the Boston Bruins (2-1) in a holiday matinée matchup at TD Garden.
Florida’s all-around poor performance led to a 5-2 defeat to the Buffalo Sabres Saturday night at KeyBank Center. Nate Schmidt and Sam Bennett were the only Cats who managed to light the lamp. Spencer Knight had a rocky go of it in his NHL start since February 18, 2023.
After losing its season-opener to the Panthers in Sunrise, the Bruins have bounced back to post wins over the Montreal Canadiens (6-4) and Los Angeles Kings (2-1) on home ice. The Cats caught a break seeing Joonas Korpisalo last time out. Expect Jeremy Swayman between the pipes today.
