Happen to notice who leads the AHL in scoring?

Got to admit, about fell out of my chair upon seeing Rochester forward Michal Repik‘s name waaaay up there. It’s no typo, however: with 3 goals and 16 assists in fourteen games, the Panthers’ 2007 second-rounder has established himself early among the cream of the American League crop. Through Monday, Repik stands first overall with 19 points, followed by Hershey’s Keith Aucoin (18p, 5g) and Corey Locke of Binghamton (18p, 4g).

Collecting points at more than one per match typically demands a couple of serious scoring streaks, and this case is no dfferent. The 5′-10″, 180-lb right wing is currently riding a seven-game streak (11p, 2g), coupled with a pair of three-assist performances. Interestingly, he’s a -1 on the year.

Next highest Amerk on the list? Bill Thomas, at number twenty (13p, 6g). Rochester (5th in North Division at 7-6-1 / 15 points) will be hosted by the Binghamton Senators Wednesday evening.
