Video, Poll: Huberdeau Suspended Following Altercation Involving QMJHL Linesman

A few fireworks over the weekend from the Quebec Major-Junior League, as Saint John Sea Dogs and Panthers 2011 first-round (3rd overall) selection Jonathan Huberdeau – he of 45 points (16 goals) in 30 appearances this season – was suspended for four games by the QMJHL’s director of player safety on Monday.

An official explanation for the disciplinary action can be found here, but video (courtesy of ThatKidHospey via YouTube) tells its own tale below…

A brief bit of history regarding Huberdeau and several opponents from the Halifax Mooseheads may be culled from Yahoo! Sports Canada here (and not to quarrel at all with Y! Sports, but I do not question this kid’s integrity or gamesmanship one whiff; he is a splendid option for Team Canada’s captaincy regardless of this past weekend’s shenanigans) .

Of course there are two sides to such a story – and if someone closer to the situation with a more locally-style link wishes to step up, all the better – today’s poll question is of the obvious variety.

So what was it?
