Panthers select Linus Nassen in third round of 2016 NHL Draft

After going forward with their first two picks, the Florida Panthers went defense with the third-round pick they acquired from the Buffalo Sabres in the 2016 NHL Entry, selecting Linus Nassen 89th overall.

Nassen is a 6′, 172 lb Swede who scored 5 goals and 16 assists in 42 games with Lulea’s junior team. He played in 10 games with the top-division club in the SHL and went scoreless.

The left-shooting defender was ranked 46th among EU skaters by Central Scouting.
