Report: Logan Shaw signs one-year extension with Panthers

Florida Panthers forward Logan Shaw has signed on for one more year with the Sunrise-based team.

According to General Fanager, the two-way deal is for an NHL salary of $660,000 and an AHL salary of $70,000.

After honing his game for two years in the minors, Shaw played in 53 games for the Panthers last season, finishing with 5 goals and 7 points. The 23-year-old also suited up for three games in the Cats playoff loss to the New York Islanders.

In addition to his time with the Panthers, Shaw scored 11 goals in 19 games with the Portland Pirates. The third-round draft pick in 2011 will be one of a bevy of wingers looking to lock down a spot in Florida’s bottom-six come training camp.

The contract leaves defenseman Jonathan Racine as the Panthers only unsigned restricted free agent.
