The Florida Panthers have agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent forward Luke Kunin on a one-year, one-way contract worth $775K.

Kunin, 27, amassed 11 goals and 18 points in 63 games with the San Jose Sharks in 2024-25 before he was acquired by the Columbus Blue Jackets on March 7. He suited up in 12 contests for the Blue Jackets and failed to collect a point. At the time of the trade, he was leading all San Jose forwards with 163 hits and serving as the club’s alternate captain.

The 6-foot, 197-pound native of Chesterfield, MO, has appeared in a total of 434 NHL games between Columbus, San Jose (2022-23 to 2024-25), the Nashville Predators (2020-21 to 2021-22) and Minnesota Wild (2017-18 to 2019-20), producing 73 goals and 142 points. He was drafted by the Wild with the 15th overall pick in 2016.
