NHL Playoffs - LBC Evening Thread: Capitals at Bruins, Game Seven
Finally have a seventh game on our hands, and for those of you locals who are new to such an event: hang on and don't blink. Never a dull moment.
(7) Washington at (2) Boston, 7:30 (NBCSN):
- The Broons have averaged 6 more shots per game than the Caps. Both goaltenders are sporting the same 2.18 GAA, but rookie Braden Holtby has the statistical edge with a sparkling .935 save percentage, compared to Tim Thomas' .922. Rich Peverley (!) and Alex Ovechkin lead their respective clubs in scoring with identical numbers (2G/3A/4pim). All six games finished with a one-goal differential.
Also... the San Antonio Rampage kick off Game Four of their first-round AHL Calder Cup playoff series from Chicago against the Wolves. The good guys hold a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five tourney; live action beginning at 8 ET can be followed along at KTKR here. Enjoy the appetizers.
