NHL Postseason Caterwaul: Rask blanks Blue Jackets as Bruins move on

Tuukka Rask made 39 saves to backstop the Boston Bruins to a 3-0 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena. The Bruins won the series in six hard-fought games and will advance to play the upstart Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Final. David Krejci scored in the first period and Marcus Johansson and David Backes added goals 1:41 apart midway through the third to clinch it for the Bruins. Krejci also drew an assist on Backes’ marker. Sergei Bobrovsky made 26 saves in what was most likely his last game in Columbus. Will the two-time Vezina winner be a member of the Florida Panthers come July? Stayed tuned.
