NHL Postseason Caterwaul: Late Maroon goal gives Blues 2-1 series lead over Stars
Owen Tippett’s OHL campaign comes to an end
Patrick Maroon put a shot over the right shoulder of Ben Bishop from in-close with 1:38 left in regulation to give the visiting St. Louis Blues a 4-3 victory and a two to one series lead over the Dallas Stars. The goal came 2:30 after Tyler Seguin tied the score for the host Stars. Jaden Schwartz, Tyker Bozak and Alex Pietrangelo notched the other St. Louis goals and former Florida Panthers defenseman Jay Bouwmeester added two assists. Alex Radulov (PPG) and Andrew Cogliano (SHG) scored special teams goals for Dallas.

Panthers prospects
Owen Tippett’s season came to end as the Guelph Storm posted a 3-2 win over the Saginaw Spirit in Game 7 of the OHL Western Conference final. The Spirit had a 3-1 lead in the series before the Storm ran off three straight wins. Tippett went pointless in the game, had three shots on goal and finished with a -1 rating. The Panthers first round choice in 2017 put up 22 points (11G/11A) in 17 postseason games.
Aleksi Heponiemi and Karpat defeated HPK 2-0 in Game 5 of the Liiga final in Finland, Karpat now leads the series three games to two. Heponiemi registered two shots on goal and logged 15:37 of ice time. Game 6 will take place on Thursday,
