According to Sports 1440’s Jason Gregor, the Florida Panthers have signed 27-year-old forward Noah Gregor to a professional tryout (PTO).
Gregor split the 2024-25 season between the Ottawa Senators (40 games) and San Jose Sharks (12 games), recording a total of four goals, three assists, and 94 hits between the two clubs.
He put up six goals, six assists, 12 points, and 147 hits in 63 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 2023-24 season, so he does have plenty of familiarity with the Atlantic Division.
After being selected by San Jose in the fourth round (111th overall) of 2016 NHL Entry Draft, Gregor has gone on to appear in 293 career NHL games over six seasons with the Sharks, Maple Leafs, and Senators. He has produced 36 goals, 34 assists, 70 points, and 553 hits.
Update: According to Frank Seravalli, the Cats have also signed forward Tyler Motte and defenseman Ben Harpur to a professional tryout contracts.
Motte, 30, spent the 2024-25 season with the Detroit Red Wings. He appeared in 55 games and finished the campaign with four goals and five assists. He has 455 games of NHL experience.
The 30-year-old Harpur appeared in 29 games with the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack last season, producing a goal and four assists to go along with 48 penalty minutes.
