Ottawa Sun: Panthers eyeing Rangers’ Kotalik

From Bruce Garrioch:

The Panthers have shown an interest in Rangers RW Ales Kotalik, who has eight goals and 14 assists in 44 games this season and is a minus-16. He is making $3 million through 2011-12. Quick, someone call Florida GM Randy Sexton to get a denial, please …

How much of an interest – if any – remains to be seen, but stories like this are going to increase in the coming days. Kotilik’s best seasons are long behind him, and his troubles with New York coach John Tortorella (or is it the reverse?) have been well documented.
