NHL Booster Club Convention coming to South Florida
There's a pretty big deal headed to our neighborhood this summer, and many of you probably weren't even aware of it: The NHL Booster Club (umbrella organization for the individual clubs) will be holding its annual convention in South Florida from August 10-12, with a (literal, in a few cases) boatload of activities on the schedule in the days before and after. More after the jump...
Hosted by your very own - and very active - Florida Panthers Booster Club, a fabulous week of daytrips to various hot spots around the region have been booked, including tours of the BankAtlantic Center & Saveology Iceplex among many other activities, leading into the official portion of the convention which kicks off Friday evening with dinner, dancing, and who knows what else. Knowing this bunch, it will be memorable.
Home base for the week will be the Sheraton Ft. Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port Hotel in Dania Beach.
All the goods on event scheduling and costs can be found at the convention's official website here (info packet via .pdf as well), and LBC will keep a link for this fantastic gathering of friends and hockey fans from around the continent & beyond in our lefthand sidebar.
Follow-up questions about the club and convention details can be directed to FLPBC Treasurer Fran Robert at firstname.lastname@example.org or (954) 729-0484.
If you haven't yet become a member of the Panthers Boosters, the time is now to join this wonderful non-profit independent organization which been tireless in its charitable efforts throughout our communities and bringing fans together since 1999. Yep, I am a member.
