Florida Panthers Sign Nick Bjugstad To Entry-Level Contract
Cats have agreed to terms with 19th-overall selection of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Upon finishing his junior season with Minnesota after a disappointingly early exit from the NCAA playoffs, Nick Bjugstad (above with Team USA) has agreed to an entry-level contract with the Florida Panthers. The 20-year old forward played over 100 games for the Golden Gophers, finishing his career as a 0.90 point per game player.
Terms of the contract have not yet been released. More from SB Nation and SBN College Hockey, and below is just a taste of what we're talking about with this kid:
Bjugstad is expected to make his NHL debut with the Panthers this weekend.
UPDATE: GR has a new blog up via On Frozen Pond featuring an interview with Bjugstad from earlier today.
