New strength and conditioning coach Craig Slaunwhite settles in to first Florida training camp on the heels of an eventful summer:
Former Panthers (S&C) coach Andy O’Brien approached Slaunwhite about doing some off-season training with some Panthers players last summer in the Toronto area. He wound up working with a dozen athletes.
He helped out at Panthers training camp last fall and with a Florida rookie camp in Toronto this spring.
“I just stayed in touch and then the position came available and I got the job,” he said in an interview from his new home in Coral Springs, Fla. He was hired in late June.
