Scoring deficiency again dooms Panthers; Thrashers take 4-2 win

Two out-of-conference losses followed by a divisional defeat against a club which deplaned only scant hours earlier.

Radek Dvorak scored twice for the Cats, but nothing more was to come for a club which has posted 12 goals in their past ten games. Florida threw away a two-goal first period lead behind a three-point effort by Atlanta’s Nik Antropov. Is this standard procedure for teams seeking the postseason?

Not much to say about this one, beyond an 0-7 power play and Tomas Vokoun coming in strong with another 32 saves.

Max Afinogenov, Nic Bergfors, Bryan Little, and Evander Kane scored for the home squad, while Johan Hedberg made 26 stops.

Lots to look forward to though, as the Cats’ next opponent is Carolina. Always a hoot.

When does “enough” become “ENOUGH”?
