NHL Draft 2017: Florida Panthers select Sebastian Repo with No. 184 overall pick

The Florida Panthers used its sixth-round selection (184th overall) in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft on Finnish forward Sebastian Repo.

Barring a trade this is Florida’s final pick of the draft.

Repo is a 21-year-old who played last most of last season with Liiga’s  Tappara Tampere, where he scored 11 goals and 21 assists, racked up 78 PIM and finished with a +16 rating in 46 games. He also played 8 games with Pelicans where dished out three helpers before he was moved to Tappara.

The lanky pivot (6’3”, 189 lbs) right winger does have some North American experience. He played 25 games for the USHL’s Sioux City Musketeers in 2014-15.
