Report: Panthers trade Steven Kampfer, pick to Rangers for Dylan McIlrath

According to TSN’s Bob McKenzie, the Florida Panthers have traded Steven Kampfer and a conditional seventh-round pick in 2018 to the New York Rangers for defenseman Dylan McIlrath.

McIlrath is a big-bodied, former first round draft pick (10th overall in 2010) that has 38 games of NHL experience and another 184 in the American League.

The 24-year-old played in 34 games for the Blueshirts last season, posting totals of 2 goals, 2 assists and 64 PIM to along with a +7 rating.
