The story so far: Panthers trade Dvorak, Wideman in seperate deals

As of 1pm, the Florida Panthers have completed two deals:

• Radek Dvorak (UFA) and a 5th-round draft pick have been sent to the Atlanta Thrashers for Niclas Bergfors and Patrick Rissmiller
• Dennis Wideman is off to the Washington Capitals for Jake Hauswirth and a 3rd-round pick
