Florida Panthers Vincent Trocheck is an All-Star!

Vincent Trocheck, the Florida Panthers centerman, has been selected to represent the Atlantic division in the National Hockey League’s All-Star tournament in Los Angeles this season. Trocheck, 23, is making the trip to the league’s mid-winter classic for the first time in his career.

Vinny Trocheck made his debut in 2013-14 and has amassed 107 points (48 goals and 58 assists) with 88 penalty minutes in 188 games. Trocheck has played all 42 games for the Florida Panthers in 2016-17 and has 12 goals and 12 assists.

The Pittsburgh native has come along quite nicely since the Cats drafted him 64th overall in the 2011 NHL Draft. Trocheck would surprise many in his time with the Plymouth Whalers and Saginaw Spirit in the Ontario Hockey League, earning him the Red Tilson Trophy for most outstanding OHL player in 2012-13.

In international play, Trocheck has earned a gold medal for Team USA in the 2013 World Junior Championships.

Also of note is this is the third straight season that a Florida Panther has been selected to the NHL All Star event.
