Panthers fail to reach a deal with Vegas
After feverishly working the phones on Sunday and Monday, the Vegas Golden Knights will stop wheeling and dealing and assemble their roster of 30 players today.
The Florida Panthers failed to reach an arrangement with Vegas to ensure the Golden Knights stay away from 2016-17 leading goalscorer Jonathan Marchessault.

Unless Vegas GM George McPhee goes in an unexpected direction, the Cats are likely to lose Marchessault, or defenseman Jason Demers, come Wednesday night.
Adidas, which has taken over from Reebok as the NHL’s uniform supplier, will unveil its versions of the home and away sweaters of all 31 teams tonight in Las Vegas. The Panthers sweater is rumored to have gotten a slight tweak from last year’s model. We’ll finally get our first look at the Golden Knights will look like.
