The Florida Panthers have acquired defenseman Ludwig Bystrom from the Dallas Stars in exchange for defenseman Reece Scarlett.
Bystrom has been loaned to Florida’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds.
Bystrom, 23, has appeared in six games for the Texas Stars (AHL) so far this season, recording one goal. The six-foot, 175-pound native of Ornskoldsvik, Sweden, has played in 138 career AHL games, producing 36 points (5-31-36) and a plus-14 rating.
He was originally selected by the Stars in the second round (43rd overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
