Florida Panthers could begin training camp on July 10

The National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players’ Association announced this morning that formal training camps (Phase 3) for the twenty-four teams resuming what will be postseason play will open on Friday, July 10, provided that medical and safety conditions allow for it and the parties have reached an overall agreement on resuming play.

This means that if all goes well and there are no setbacks, the Florida Panthers can begin preparing for its play-in round, best-of-five with the New York Islanders in just under a month.

The length of training camp and, therefore, the start date for formal resumption of play (Phase 4) will be determined at a future date.
