Jakub Kos finally saw action in Ilves 3-2 shootout win over HC Vítkovice Ridera in action from the Champions Hockey League. Kos, 20, played on the fourth line and didn’t figure in the scoring or register a shot on goal He finished with an even rating in 10:29 TOI. Ilves (4-0) is in second place in the tournament’s opening round with 11 points and +10 goal differential.

Liam Arnsby centered the top line in the North Bay Battalion’s 2-1 shootout win over the Owen Sound Attack in an OHL exhibition. Arnsby did not figure in the scoring.

Arnsby, Vilmanis and Swachyn will all be on Florida’s roster in the four-team Southeast Rookie Showcase at Hertz Arena in Estero, which starts on Friday.
