The game marked the third time this season the Lightning rallied from behind in the third period at BankAtlantic Center to send the game to overtime, and it was the second time Tampa Bay came away with a victory.
– Tampa Tribune’s Erik Erlendsson. Somewhat cheerfully, Friday’s OT loss was the last to be played between the two clubs in Sunrise this (regular) season.
Not much to see – at the video above – offensively, but the spectacular Flash goal can be found at the 1:55 mark. Some rather slick goaltending from both ends contained within as well.

Why last night freaking rocked:
- Rags over Washington, 6-3; Torts kicks it up – and just in time – against Southeast
- Columbus over Buffalo, 5-1; wrap your head around that score
- Pittsburgh over Ottawa, 6-3; assuming the Pens will simply roll from here on out, a decisive win over conference foe plays rather well in SoFla
- Philadelphia over Montreal, 3-1; our bud JM hooks up with PIT tonight
- Detroit over Boston, 3-2 (SO); we’d be far happier had Wings held their lead
Why last night completely jonesed:
- New Jersey over the Isles, 1-0; bottom-feeder victory would have been splendid, but whatever
- Winnipeg over Carolina, 3-1; thankfully in regulation
- Toronto over Dallas, 4-3 (SO): this one hurts
Why tonight is a Big Deal:
- Isles @ New Jersey, 1pm
- Philadelphia @ Rags, 2pm
- Winnipeg @ Boston, 7pm
- Washington @ Buffalo, 7pm
- Pittsburgh @ Montreal, 7pm
Next up for the Cats:
- Tonight @ Tampa Bay, 7pm (6:30 game thread)
