It’s a mammoth day for the franchise as Cliff Viner – as good a man as could have been wished for but ultimately lacking in financial resources necessary to build a winner – hands the keys over to Vincent Viola. The effects of this sale will be far-reaching, and has already paid a dividend to Florida via the Tim Thomas signing on Thursday.
