The Florida Panthers (15-8-2) will look to conclude its three-game homestand on a winning note when they welcome the middling Pittsburgh Penguins (11-11-3) to Sunrise tonight. Florida is coming off an exciting 5-4 victory over the Dallas Stars that ended a run of three straight losses at Amerant Bank Arena. The Cats top line of Evan Rodrigues (2G/2A), Sam Reinhart (1G/2A) and Aleksander Barkov (1G/1A) combined for nine points in the high-scoring affair. Sergei Bobrovsky made 29 stops to collect his 12th win of the season.

While the Cats were busy beating the Stars, Pittsburgh dropped a 3-1 decision to the Tampa Bay Lightning in the middle tilt of a three-game road trip that followed back-to-back losses to and in Philadelphia. The Penguins were able to get to overtime and a shootout against the rival Flyers to gain a couple points, but they remain mired in seventh place in the Metropolitan Division. Sidney Crosby leads the Pens with 15 goals while Jake Guentzel’s 19 assists and 29 points are tops on the team.
