In our nation’s capital, the Washington Capitals defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs by a 2-1 count, thanks to Justin Williams’ goal 1:04 into the extra session. The Capitals took a three to two lead in the series, which has seen four of the game go to overtime.

In OHL action, Jonathan Ang and the Peterborough Petes will look to bounce back from a Game 1 loss to Mississauga, and in the “Q”, Samuel Montembeault will backstop Blainville-Boisbriand for Game 2 of their series against Charlottetown. Montembeault and the Armada dropped Game 1 to the host Islanders.
