The Edmonton Oilers joined the Florida Panthers, New York Rangers, Carolina Hurricanes and Colorado Avalanche in the second round of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs by knocking off the Los Angeles Kings by a 4-3 count on home ice to end the series in five games. Leon Draisaitl scored twice, Evan Bouchard had three assists and Stuart Skinner finished with 18 saves. The Oilers await the winner of the series between the Vancouver Canucks and Nashville Predators.

Jason Robertson’s power-play goal in the latter part of the second period turned out to be the game-winner as the Dallas Stars edged the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 at American Airlines Center. Jake Oettinger made 25 stops, including a key pad save on Chandler Stevenson’s breakaway late in the third. Dallas now leads the series three games to two after losing the first two tilts on home ice. The defending champs will look to avoid elimination with a win at T-Mobile Arena on Friday.

If the Boston Bruins beat the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight at Scotiabank Arena they will meet the Panthers in the second round. The Maple Leafs, who are hoping to get Auston Matthews back, will be looking to hold serve and send the series back to Boston for Game 7, which would be played on Saturday night.

Our ECHL affiliate, the Florida Everblades defeated the Jacksonville Ice Men 4-0 in Game 7 to move on to the second round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs, where they will take on the Orlando Solar Bears. Will Reilly, Sean Josling, Cam Darcy and Cole Moberg scored second period goals and Cam Johnson made 27 saves. The Everblades overcame a 3-1 series deficit to advance.
