Game 2 Gameday: Florida Panthers vs Boston Bruins

Graphic design: Francisco Oporta

The Florida Panthers will look to bounce back after getting punched in the gut by the Boston Bruins, who pulled away for a 5-1 win, in Game 1 of the second round of the postseason. Florida put 39 shots on Jeremy Swayman, but only Matthew Tkachuk’s game-opening goal midway through the second period got past him. The Bruins quickly replied thanks to Morgan Geekie and then added on with defensemen Mason Lohrei and Brandon Carlo lighting the lamp before the end of the frame. Justin Brazeau’s breakaway goal 7:13 into the third essentially iced it and Jake DeBrusk completed the scoring with an empty-netter. The Panthers will need to be more physical, take better care of the puck and make things harder on Swayman to even the series.
