Gameday 19: Florida Panthers vs Boston Bruins

Graphic design: Francisco Oporta

The Florida Panthers (12-5-1) will be looking for a bit of revenge when they host the Boston Bruins (13-1-3) tonight at Amerant Bank Arena. In the first meeting between the clubs, Boston rallied from a two-goal deficit to edge the Cats 3-2 in overtime, with the winning goal going to Pavel Zacha. Since then, the Panthers have run off an 8-2 record to climb to second place in the Atlantic Division. Florida opened its three-game homestand with a 5-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Monday.

The Bruins were beaten 5-4 in overtime by the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday in their last outing. They enter tonight’s nationally televised tilt riding a six-game point streak (4-0-2) and have only given up 37 goals in 17 games. David Pastrnak is the scorer leader with team-highs in goals (12) and assists (17). His 29 points are tied for the second-most in the NHL behind Vancouver’s Quinn Hughes. Boston is a tough nut to crack, the Panthers will have their work cut out for them.
