The Florida Panthers will play their final game of the 2023 Southeast Rookie Showcase this afternoon against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
After a disjointed 4-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday, the Cats bounced back with a solid 4-2 win over the Nashville Predators on Saturday that featured goals from Josh Davies, Ryan McAillster, Sandis Vilmanis and Riley Bezeau. Swiss goaltender Ludovic Waeber stopped 38 of 40 shots.
Tampa Bay rallied to beat Nashville 4-3 on Friday before falling 4-3 in a shootout to Carolina on Saturday.
The Hurricanes finished the showcase with a 3-0 record after defeating the Predators by a 3-2 count this morning.
