Gameday 4: Florida Panthers vs Toronto Maple Leafs

Graphic design: Francisco Oporta

The Florida Panthers will enjoy the friendly confines of the newly-named Amerant Bank Arena for the first time this season as they open a four-game homestand tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Florida held off the New Jersey Devils to post a 4-3 win in the final game of a three-road trip that also saw stops in St. Paul and Winnipeg.

Toronto filled the net in its first two games, beating the Ottawa Senators 6-5 in a shootout and the Minnesota Wild by a 7-4 count. Auston Matthews notched hat tricks in each of the wins. The Maple Leafs finished the three-game homestand with a disappointing 4-1 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks.
