Gameday 20: Florida Panthers vs Winnipeg Jets

Graphic design: Francisco Oporta

The Florida Panthers (12-6-1) will be looking to get back in the win column when they take on the Winnipeg Jets (11-5-2) tonight in Sunrise to conclude a three-game homestand. Florida opened the homestand with an exciting 5-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers before they were stymied 3-1 by Linus Ullmark and the opportunistic Boston Bruins on Wednesday. No shame in losing to the league leaders, but the Panthers would like to avenge their 6-4 loss to the Jets in the second game of the 2023-24 campaign and bank another two points before heading to Canada, where they face division rivals Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal to close out November.

Adam Lowry scored in overtime to give the Jets a 3-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning in their last outing on Wednesday. Winnipeg comes into tonight’s tilt on a four-game winning streak and they have posted victories in seven of the last eight games to move into a tie with the Colorado Avalanche for second place in the Central Division. After facing the Cats, Winnipeg will conclude its three-game road trip against the Nashville Predators.
