The Legend Returns: Jaromir Jagr re-signs with the Florida Panthers

The Florida Panthers have announced that forward Jaromir Jagr has signed a one-year deal to remain with the team. As per club policy terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Jagr led the Panthers in scoring during the 2015-16 campaign, posting 66 points on 27 goals and 39 assists. In six postseason games, the 44-year-old collected two assists as the Cats were elimintaed by the New York Islanders.

The fifth overall pick in the 1990 Entry Draft, Jagr has collected 1,868 points during his illustrious 22-year NHL career. He trails only Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier in the points department and stands behind only Gretzky (894) and Gordie Howe (801) with 749 goals.

Look for Jagr to be alongside linemates Aleksander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau this fall.
