First off, on behalf of LBC, I’d like to congratulate the Pittsburgh Penguins for winning the Stanley Cup over a game San Jose Sharks.
The next order of business is congratulating community member JimboCoppertone for taking the fourth and final round of our predictions contest.
Jimbo not only picked the Penguins, he picked them in six games (as did Donny and Barkovthe18yearold) and bested those two by nailing the total goals tiebreaker of 27. Impressive stuff.
As I reported after the Conference Finals, ex-staffer Shane O’Donnell was the contest’s overall winner. Shane finished up in style, picking the Pens to go an astounding 13-2 over the course of the playoffs. He racked up two bonus points to finish with 41 points, seven better than Donny, who did the LBC staff proud with a second place finish.
Only six out of the twenty-two entries in this round picked Pittsburgh. The other two players who called it correctly were Francsico and CatatonicCatalyst.
